Hope Rising was written as part of the Hope 08 initiative and was performed for the first time in May 2008 by a choir drawn from a number of Coventry churches. It follows the story of Jesus as He prepares Himself and his followers for the events of Good Friday, leading up to the amazing experience of Easter Sunday.
It was reprised in a revised version in Easter 2009, and then recorded in September 2009
