Katy Cropper has achieved some no small measure of fame in the UK due partly to her prowess in the training of sheep-dogs, raising them from pups and turning them into disciplined and vital aides to the sheep-farmer. She is the only woman to ever have won the “One Man and His Dog” sheep-dog trials. Her fame also stems from her often humorous work at exhibitions and festivals such as The Royal Show in the Midlands, training the dogs to “shepherd” a variety of farmyard animals such as ducks.

The music which I provided for the Farming Press video about her work reflects this humour which is evident in much of what Katy does.
